November 3 to 7, 2010 The 6th Annual Denver International Wine Festival is the premier wine and food festival in the Rocky Mountains showcasing more than 400 International wines from 18 countries! Other beverages include selected spirits, Sake, Jim Beam Small Batch Bourbons, Blue Moon Beers, a Belgium Beer Garden featuring food samplings created by Belgium Chef Daniel Joly of Mirabelle, Beaver Creek, paired with Stella Artois, Hoegaarden and Leffe beers, served in their custom glassware. Food samplings, produce and food products by Colorado Proud producers, exhibits by luxury travel destinations, fine art and wine paraphernalia. Our signature culinary event "The Taste of Elegance" Chefs Competition pairs Gold Medal wines from The Denver International Wine Competition, with some of America's most creative chefs. While the event is sometimes referred to as "Iron Chef meets wine", participating chefs have no secret ingredient. They are assigned two gold medal wines (white & red) one week before the competition. Chefs are provided with sample bottles to taste and develop their custom paired dishes. Bravo¹s Top Chef Season 5 Winner Chef Hosea Rosenberg is a three-time champion of The Taste of Elegance (2006, 2007 & 2008) and was our celebrity judge in 2009. Proceeds from the live and silent auctions benefit the Foundation For Sight & Sound's Help America Hear Program.
